I'm basically having the issue that is in the title. I can get the game working fine and it all loads up until I try to play my current household. It loads up with the world they live in and it shows their house and all of them at home but when I click on it and press play it loads for a few seconds and then puts me back at the 'Residential Screen' and I can't get in. I could play before the update and afterwards I could play the sims who belonged to that household but who were out at a different venue, however as soon as they went home I couldn't follow and now I can't access any of them as they're all at home

For the issue itself, do you get an error when trying to load the household? If so, please post a screenshot.
Separately, try saving this house to the Library, bulldozing the lot, and placing a fresh copy of the house. You can try it with your sims living there or not; it doesn't matter.
If that doesn't help, please let me know whether you can place the house on a different lot in a different world and play sims living there, yours or others. You don't need to save your progress.
