@jayreok 'Cheat' is rather a fluid concept in the sims. I never 'motherhood' for instance, and I can't think of any play cheats I use except sometimes forcing the season for certain builds I'm uploading to the gallery for community download (and I think adjusted traits once on my base/main sim (actually based on me and from my original household) when she was out roaming around and on the computer enough at one point that her mischief was getting up there. Haha... I need her a bit more stable than that.
On the other hand, the more you build using MOO (allows movement/placement tweaks to certain objects),' to adjust something is like drinking the Kool-aid. I use it now - but quite lightly and always turn it back off and test and re-test with placement and playtesting to make sure it won't be messed up in the placement and that all sim stuff is accessible for the household... which can be a real of a pain, but sometimes it's worth it, as I'm a real perfectionist. Price you pay and all. I insist on doing all of my builds and households no mods and no cc - and so they will place correctly without anyone having MOO on, etc. That's my thing, I guess.
Anyway, not all cheats here are created equally, and some of them I don't see as a legit 'cheat'. And there are the grey areas.... For instance, if I need a household to move into a lot to test it for me I don't 'Motherload' them to get the money... I move them in and out of household (separate and together... gains $20 each time) or have them sell inventory items or move in with someone with money or some such thing to get the money they need to move into the lot and test it... and they oftentimes don't keep the lot anyway.
I play with aging off, and have played a LOT so I have several multi-millionaire households, so it's not really hard to make any of that happen anyway, so calling it 'cheating' or not is all semantics at some points.
Anyway, I hope it all smooths out for you and I am curious to see how the ghost thing goes. I have not dealt with a ghost since Sims 2, and I was so annoyed as they were freaking out my sims, or waking them up, etc., so I really don't know what they are like in Sims 4.
Yeah I hate using “mother lode” haha. I feel like I’ve ruined the game. One question. How do you get the families to be multi millionaire’s that’s good. I suppose you make all their traits “workaholics” in a sense right?
I’ve tried befriending the ghost and asking her to move it. She’s not having any of it lol. I hate her.

Books and Paintings are great money earners once you have a little skill. If you have Jungle Adventures then Archeology will give you a lot of money. Other options are Gardening and the Workbench. For scientists use the Sim ray to convert cheap items in to valuable items and use the Clone Machine to clone your valuables and sell them.

I play with aging off, and I began with a mom and dad (based loosely on my husband and I - pic at right). They have had 6 kids. The vast majority of the households I play involve the main couple &/or at least one of their adult children/spouses. I have two games. (I moved them up into the gallery and started over in the new game several months back.) Most of them have maxed out in at least one career (depending on how much I played them) and I usually play large households, oftentimes involving at least two of the couples and children (I don't play with mods or cc, so no households are over 8.) It takes a village and all.
My sim households are all about working together and supporting each other. I usually have a couple of sims who do all repairs the upgrades and are eventually at 10 handiness. I also usually have a 2-3 of sims that do most of the cooking and baking in the household, and they put it in the refrigerator, and everyone eats as 'leftovers' most of the time. I always have a maid and gardener, and a butler sometimes (as they will help with gardening, repairs you didn't notice, clean some, etc.). A couple of examples: My main sim (the 'me' one) also paints masterpieces, as does one of her sons (who as worked as a spy, space ranger, and actor), they are both 10 in cooking and gardening and several other skills as well.
Once I have 2 or 3 sims at max in their career they don't usually work more than 2-3 days per week, so they have a lot of free time. Those are usually the households that own and run at least one of the restaurants I have made (I build a lot) and a retail store. Restaurants don't make a lot of money, but my retail stores do. When you run one of them you can have 2-3 sims there at a time and keep it open for 1-3 sim-days and I have made up to $44,000 per 2-3 day stent doing that. They usually do that at least one time per week. I build a 'breakroom' downstairs in most (basically an apartment) and I send home and bring to the store various household members per their needs/work schedule/whether I need to make a child do homework, etc. The stores are actually homey and pleasant to hang out and very popular with townies, and I add a treadmill, fast internet and computers, and lock the 'breakroom' and kitchen to non-household, so it is a nice time for the household. Townies purchase directly from the 'Lice Cold Freezers' so all the household needs to do is cook and clean the store. They also have gardens (and usually some harvestable on-site plus at home) that they tend and use in cooking gourmet dishes. These are put into the freezers along with produce for sims to purchase. The rest of the produce is just sold as harvested. The harvests and sales are the biggest money-makers. One word. Dragonfruit. Also, they recently got a money tree then replanted, etc. for the mansion I made for my Get Famous household, Movie Star Manor , (of course they needed a money tree garden!)... wow, once you have the money to buy the mansion no need to worry about bills with that garden!!
Note: Don't keep very much produce in their household or personal inventory or your household bills will get crazy high. I learned that when I got a bill for $165,000. I spent hours clearing out all of their inventories (selling the produce, etc.), and by the time I was done, they had over 1.5 million, and their bills were back to normal.
Most of what I do with them stopped being about the money long ago, so that is incidental at this point. They have way more than they know what to do with. I am more interested in various challenges, as otherwise I get bored. Guess they're along for the ride. 😉
I play rather 'Type A', but my sims are happy and well taken care of. They earn their rewards & promotions. I do get the 'gym rat' trait so they can workout and not get fat 😉. They are generally very skilled/talented also, as I mentioned. I uploaded one of the children at one point, but I thought it may be weird to do most of them since they have long memory/histories, and you don't usually see that in gallery sims. Do you think people would think it was weird? Or is there a cheat or something that would wipe their history/past actions but keep their skills/relationships, etc.? If there was I could upload the households. It would be a great way for someone to save a LOT of time playing to get skills.
Sorry, you did ask. Hahaha... If you made it this far in my monologue, props to you and a gold star. :eahigh_file:🙂
