I've been having the same issue with my MAC desktop (MacOS BigSur) since yesterday. Cannot connect to the gallery at all but can play offline.
I have tried removing mods, looking at setting in game and on Origin, repairing the game, turning everything off and on again, and deleting caches. I do not have any Anti Virus Software. I do not have firewall on and I am not using any proxies. It just won't connect, I am otherwise using the Internet and the Internet is working fine on Origin itself. I have never had this problem before. I use a 16gb ram Macbook pro that meets all requirements. The game is otherwise working and I can access my library.
@RikkiErinShiffysome hare i am tired i remove everything origin and EA desktop and my sims 3 and 4 nothing happen still give me offline with 3 and 4 i am from Saudi Arabia first time get this after 7 years never get this before when i get problem with my account always EA give help but this time they try with me my account not help still give me offline when i try my sister account she working fine i try my account with 3 PC's he still give me offline, i hope they fix this soon i can't stay play the sims 4 with out my gallery

There's also been a weird bug where buildings would delete all the walls even with move objects turned on, when placing the build.

Maintenance is now complete.
Doubt it was the maintenance, at least for me... I've been having this issue with the Gallery since late October last year. No matter what I do, I can't access it. Which kinda sucks because the Gallery is a good place for inspiration and such. And before anyone tells me to contact costumer support, just don't. Already done it 6 times. Other than that, I've literaally tried everything short of a faactory reset of my computer (which isn't happening by the way). Getting really sick of this... Truth be told, it's getting increasingly harder to play Sims 4 without access to it........
