August update: Cannot go into any lot

Hey everyone! So after the August update it literally obliterated my game, from causing "black face" on my Sims to them showing up like poor 2007 Britney Spears.

I have now discovered, after trying to fix the MODS that I can't even load from the world screen to a lot without getting kicked back to the world screen.

My suspicion on why my MODS stopped was that I had a ghost file messing up things from NisaK Perversions, it took me a while to figure that out- but I fixed it.

However, I realized that I had a MUCH bigger problem- the actual UPDATE itself messed up the game.

Anyone else having this issue with not being able to get into a lot?

I stripped the game of all the mods- and cleaned up the files. And it worked, so I started re-downloading each MOD..

I did however re-download NisaK perversions thinking the ghost file was the problem.

Maybe that could be the culprit to the possible lot issues I am having as well.. but  I am currently trying to figure that out lol and just think it was the update TBH.

I spend more time repairing my game or redoing MODS and losing generation sims then actually playing.... I said in another post that EA really has me contemplating closing this chapter of my life because this game was my means of escaping REAL LIFE stresses, not to add more to my day. And I've been a simmer since 2001 when I received it that March for a birthday present.

It is disheartening to read many others out there with so many issues with their shoddy updates.... and the fact we have to resort to the forum for help on countless "mandatory updates"?

 Why is it necessary to have so many updates I will never understand. I wish they would go back to discs and just let us add mods al a cart like the good ol' days or give the MODDERS real opportunities to make TS great again (no, no not Trump style either).
