Baby disappeared

my sim was pregnant and when she gave birth I didn’t get the option to name a baby and a baby didn’t appear, however I do have the pop up saying that she’s happy about the new baby. I have tried to have her have another baby and a baby just will not show up after she’s given birth. I did go into manage worlds and play as another family to give the family I am playing with time to reset (as I had seen to do) but it didn’t work, can anyone help?
