LE: Exception raised while processing zone spin up sequence

damong63​  You're welcome to post a dxdiag, and I'll look it over, but this sounds less like a system issue than a problem with this one lot in this one save.  Since you're getting endless loading at times, I'd like to see a lastexception instead, which, if one exists, might point to a specific cause.

Please open Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 and delete any lastexception files already there.  Load the save, do something to trigger the endless loading screen, and look for a new LE.  If you find one, open it and delete its first line of text, then attach it to a reply here.  Alternately, you can copy the text and paste it into your reply.

Please test with your Mods folder removed if there's anything in it other than Resource.cfg.  You don't need to save your progress at any point.

puzzlezaddict​ I checked the Mods folder and it's clean - I don't play with mods, so no surprise there.

I followed your instructions, got the dreaded endless loading screen, and here is the lastexception file with the first line of text removed. I've also attached the dxdiag just in case. Thank you!

damong63​  Your dxdiag is full of crashes of one of your laptop's graphics drivers.  It's possible these aren't causing the game issue, but they need to be addressed regardless.  So please do a clean uninstall and reinstall of the Nvidia driver, as described here:

However, instead of reinstalling the newest driver, go back a few versions, to 576.xx, as the newest ones have had some issues.  You can find older drivers here:

You'll want a Game Ready Driver, not a Studio version.

If this doesn't help, I'd like another lastexception.  I'll ask around about it and the one you've already posted—I do recognize this error, but only in the context of a modded save.  But someone else may know more.

puzzlezaddict​ Letting you know that I successfully removed and restored my graphics drivers following your instructions. As you guessed the update has had no effect on my ability to play the lot in question. Fingers crossed the game is more stable now though.

your LE is potentially related to an issue with an active career. Is anyone on that lot you're having issues with in an active career ?

crinrict​ There are 3 sims in the household and none have active careers. however, one is employed in the Style Influencer career, meaning that they have the option to complete work tasks from home.

to be sure, you move out the family and tried visiting the empty house with another family and it still didn't work ?

Not totally up to date but wanted to answer you since it's been a while (been away).

crinrict​ Yes, I get the forever loading screen when visiting the lot when empty. I’ve also tried moving in a new household by assigning the lot to them from the world map, which works, however I can’t play them or visit with different household. Also, if I attempt to move a family from another lot in live mode I get the forever loading screen.
