Best laptop for sims 4 and standard school work(not gaming) under £600 UK

@skyea01  That's certainly a decent laptop for £500, one that I think I've suggested in the past for people with similar budgets.  But right now, you can do better for the same price.  These laptops all have the next-newer processor in the same category and a slightly faster graphics chip to go along with it; the Acer has twice the storage of the others.

On the high end, these two have an entry-level dedicated graphics cards, not gaming GPUs but still significantly faster than the integrated cards in the models above.  The second one has a faster graphics card and more storage.

This one, is the only one that seems to be in stock do you think this will be ok? Someone told me to get one with an NVIDIA graphics card but still I have no idea whats good and what's not.

@skyea01  Dedicated graphics cards are faster than integrated cards, at least within the same generation or close enough.  The MX250 is about 30% faster in gaming than the integrated chip in the first three laptops I linked and about 50% faster than the chip in the one you linked.  While that's not a massive difference, it can allow the player to turn a couple graphics options up to high.

Additionally, having a dedicated card to do the graphics rendering takes a lot of the workload off the processor, allowing it to run cooler and be more efficient in performing its other tasks.  So while a dedicated card isn't necessary for playing Sims 4, it can help a lot.

It's strange that none of the first three are showing as in stock for you; they are for me.  But then I'm not providing a location, and I see they're in-store pickup only.  The laptop from Box should be in stock though.

If you want to do your own shopping, you can look for (ideally) a laptop with an MX250 or MX350, or (somewhat cheaper) a laptop with a Ryzen 4500U processor, which should perform about the same in any laptop.  But I'm guessing it's hard to find those right now.  I checked half a dozen sites and didn't see any options that were as cheap as the ones listed on the Currys site.

I've never used box before, I just kind of always went with what I know and thats currys/product world
