The second laptop's graphics card is much faster than the chip in the first laptop, although the first laptop is an excellent option for £500. The two aren't in the same league though. An Nvidia 1650 can run all current Sims 4 content on ultra graphics settings, whereas the G7 chip in the first one can probably only handle medium-high settings. And laptops with faster graphics cards are usually £900 and up, so the 1650 is your best bet.

Its processor is equivalent for the purposes of Sims 4, and it has the same 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage.

The only meaningful difference between its specs and the specs of the Acer is that the integrated graphics chip is disabled, so battery life is probably not as good. You'd want to play with the laptop plugged in regardless though.
