Blast from the past event not showing up and gallery not loading

Hi, I've been having trouble with my gallery not working for a long time now, when I click on it, it says connect online so i click that but it just gets stuck on the loading pop up for ages. I also haven't been able to see the 'events' tab on the main menu, i saw someone else  was having the same issue but they got it fixed before anyone properly replied with a fix. I've tried clearing any cache files and other files i found were safe to delete, I've also tried to do that firewall thing making it so the sims 4 is on that list but it wont allow me to add it. I've also tried to 'repair' my game through the ea app but don't have the option to. I have no mods whatsoever and its  getting so frustrating, if anyone could help that would be amazing and greatly appreciated!!

Ps I didn't know what tag to put so I just put gameplay issue, advice and time limited events, please let me know if these are incorrect x
