bookcase glitch?

I've been playing in a multi gen household trying to work through all of the career options and had a lot of books as a result. However when I loaded in yesterday all of my books in the cases have vanished? Anyone else having this issue? I can sometimes add new books to it (they love to add the Trex Rex book in or whatever it is called) but can't add others. Also any ideas on how to fix?

    Is this happening with just one household, or are other households also missing books? Have you tested it with different types of bookcases? If you haven’t tried this already, try having the sims travel to another lot and back, then see if that helps. Also switching to another household then back again may help.

    are you using mods/cc ? Think this was a mod issue a while ago (unsure though)
