This is on the ”Chieftains Villa” lot. Its a bug. How can i fix it? I already tried putting a new roof obto it, replacing the stairs, re-creating the room, moving the room and then placing it back. Nothing works. Only removing the stairs makes the lighting normal. But i want the stairs placed where i have it.
Have you checked to see if the room has a ceiling?
If that's not the problem, would you be willing to post a gallery link? That is really helpful for other people to troubleshoot build issues
Have you tried going to live mode and having a sim enter the room? Once in live mode, click on a light and make sure they are all set to auto lights. When you place a light in build mode from the catalog, they will always be on. But if a light is off when you enter build mode, it will stay off. If you grab it to move, it will sometimes go off and need to be reset.
You could also replace the light after you've placed the stairs to get it on in build mode.
