Can’t buy cows, llamas or chickens while living in a residential complex

i just build a residential complex, my sims live in the principal house and u can’t buy cows or chickens while living in it, it doesn’t change if i put it as a communal place or belonging to my house. So is it because i can’t have them while living there or is it a type of bug? (already tried taking out the mods).
