I want to change a sim I saved in a gallery to an occult sim without having to recreate the sim or having to find the method mid game. Is it possible?

If you don't want the trouble of starting over, I think what you can do is to start the world (putting your sim into a plot of land and start the gameplay), use cheats to turn your sim into a spellcaster, go into CAS, and save the sim to your gallery. Your new spellcaster should begin as an occult the next time you download them.
This is terrible design and it's annoyed me for YEARS. There's really no reason why you shouldn't be able to change occult mid creation. Why in the world should occult choice have to start with the creation of an entirely new Sim? Of course they had to make it as difficult as possible.
