Why is it I can't can my fruits when there are an abundance of them in my inventory???

No game mechanism for that, so far as I know. I wondered that once, too. With the advent of Cottage Living and then again with the Ranch world. We always canned fruits AND vegetables in the South. Take you right through winter. 🤗
