CAS won’t let me change my sim at all

Hello, I’m a Sims 4 user and I can’t get my CAS to work. What I mean by this is that anytime I try to click on my sim to change their hair or outfit it doesn’t work. I can edit their name, gender, and some facial features, but I can’t enter detail edit mode or alter their clothing. I have deleted all of my mods. I also went as far as deleting all of my save files. I can’t find an answer to this problem. Everything I’ve searched and tried hasn’t helped. I have no mods, no cc, and have played around deleting unnecessary files. Please help. I just want to be able to play.

    Try the following

    • Close the game
    • Rename Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 to Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4_Old
    • Repair the game
    • Start the game. All your content will be gone now as the game created a new folder. All your saves/.. is still in the old folder so not to worry. Be aware that your claimed event rewards will also be gone for the time being but you will get them back with your other things.
    • Start a new save game
    • Check if you still have the error
    • Report back with your results for further steps on how to get your stuff back.
