Community Gardens - Issue Plants not Growing + Easy Solution.

So the way the game works essentially is any community plot you aren't on doesn't get loaded, and any "tracked" object doesn't essentially get tracked. It makes sense you don't want scripts running in the background unnecessarily.

Yet a solution already exists in-game - update on load.

If Sims 4 tracked plants differently to simply track "Start growth date.

Then on load extrapolated growth based on last day loaded ( already does this with sim age ) - it would solve plants be growing on community lots.

This would make it so players don't have to be constantly on the plot for the plants to grow and instead plants would grow naturally simply by calculating the date last visited.

  • Yeah, it's a huge pet peeve of mine that plants on community lots don't grow or there are empty planters around- like in Cottage Living, there are empty planters with nothing growing on them near where the cow/chicken competitions are held. And lots that have hen houses never actually have chickens in them. People live on these lovely little farms that end up looking unkempt and dead ☹️
