@crinrict
I have to admit I'm a bit confused for this moment. There was no custom content in the game, and you say that the data in this last exception file lists errors related to their presence in the game.
For the last file in date the 06, indeed there were still mods which were present in game on that date, but for this last file that I obtained yesterday these mods were not present, there was no personalized content in game since last 06.
In addition, yesterday, to better check how the game works, I have started once again a completely new game to play it with a completely new Sim created, and this on maps containing only in-house creations and community spaces from the game itself.
Previously you told me to try deleting the files I have, and then throw the error without any mods or scripts added (I don't use CC) and see if a new Lastexceptions file would be created.
But my mods folder is empty (and no Lastexception file is present in the user folder when I launch the game, and no localthumbcache.package). Which implies that there is no custom content in the game. So how can the game suffer from errors that would mean that it is the mods that are currently causing the game to malfunction?
It's true that I've been using some mods for a while, most of them are utility mods we'll say and replacement mods, and they've been exactly the same for a very long time, and have never caused any problems in my game as long as they have been checked up to date and are compatible with the game. Additionally, every time I exit the game, I delete the localthumbcache.package file from the user folder in preparation for the next game session.
Here is the list of the only mods I use, mods declared by their creators to be up to date and compatible with the game:
- the Tmex-BetterBuildBuy and Tmex-TOOL mods,
- the UI_Cheats_Extension mod,
- the mods MiozreYukii_NoFadeEverything_AllPacksCombined and MizoreYukii_StandStillinCAS_All-in-one,
- mods modifying the appearance of the loading page in the game and also for the background image in the CAS, and also every 20thCPlumbob-MapReplacement to modify the appearance of the maps,
- Fogity_Hidden_Highlight to avoid having a white outline on the Sim and on all objects,
- Kuttoe] PotionRework - ToggleImmortalGlow.package which removes the infinite glow effect around Sims' heads when they have the Immortal trait,
- [hepandeerus] ColourBuildBuy-v3.package which colors the elements on the house of choices for the elements of the Buy Build mode,
- TURBODRIVER_InteractionsQueueExtender in order to be able to anticipate a greater number of actions for my selected Sim,
- LittleMsSam_Transferinventory so as not to have to move an item by an item from the Sim's inventory to the fridge,
- and I also have mods that manage certain decisions in the Sims, acts of autonomy shall we say, and these mods are the MSQSIMS_No Autonomous mods for autonomous acts that occur to the extreme in our Sims, like by example playing in mud or leaves whenever it is nearby, or constantly doing push-ups on the ground right in the middle of ongoing actions, or constantly using the phone or watching TV, fixed idea of going swimming in a swimming pool whenever there is one in the Sim's environment, drinking glasses of water at any time, and so on. I have around twenty of these No Autonomous mods, and this, because they allow me not to suffer the permanent cancellation of the requests that I make to my Sims, all these actions that I ask of them, and which cancel themselves as soon as I launch them. Which is still very appreciable, because actions which are constantly canceled amount to a very unpleasant game since the Sims never respond to what they are asked to do.
The parameter to manage autonomy and which is found in the Game Options, well this parameter does not prevent the Sims from constantly presenting a spectacle of tocs and fixed ideas. Many of our Sims' autonomy actions are incredibly over-managed by the game.
For custom content, until these creators indicate that they are compatible with the game, I do not submit their mod files at game. I only introduce those that the creators have indicated are tested and compatible. Except for personalized content which is very very old. These are contents to manage visuals in the game we will say, those :
- no longer see the three zzz's when Sims are sleeping,
- not having the musical notes on the devices broadcasting music,
- no longer have body parts blurred when Sims go to the bathroom or take a bath.
Every time there is a new game update and new official content for the game, I delete all the files that are in the mods folder and also the localthumbcache.package file if it still exists before performing these additions to the game. Then when this update is applied, I restart my computer, then I install the new official game content and restart my computer again. I then launch the application and my game, still without content in the mods folder. When I arrive on the game's home page, I see the small descriptive window which shows me all the new official content of the game. I launch my last saved game to play it for a few minutes, then exit the game without saving, with the aim of being able to stay at the same time of my last progress, that of before the last update and the addition of new content to the game.
Once these steps are completed, I visit the mod creators' sites to verify that they have tested their custom content, and that they inform users that all this content is up to date and compatible with the latest game update , as well as with the latest official content added to the game.
I'm reintroducing mods and mod scripts that are up to date with the latest version of the game, as well as the latest official content added to the game.
But there, since last 06 there is no content file in the mods folder, the game part that I played yesterday in order to obtain a Lastexception file was without the presence of mod files.
After reading your last answer I have a question because you say this: These are all known mod exceptions, but since these don't contain the customer information I can't verify it.
Is it the fact that I am playing the game in Offline mode on the EA app that would have produced this lack of customer information? Because it is true that most of the time I launch EA app offline mode and I play the game like this, so that my game is not disturbed in-game by the application as well as by the elements present on the game homepage. All these background requests using data on my device while I'm in-game can cause slowdowns or lags in-game, or even a game that suddenly stays fixed on the screen. Searches for new updates or updating of elements can be done outside of game part, as well as searching for data related to what I am doing in-game, or with what I have been able to visit , added, or modified recently on the EA application or in game, and at least that's my way of reasoning.
I'm going to restart the game by logging in to my account on the EA app and play this time with the game connected to the internet, then I'll check if a new Lastexception file has been created in the user folder, and I'll send it to you as soon as I've left the game.
On the other hand, one fact is certain, which is that for this Crystal Creation Kit, it has never been functional for me, since its introduction into the game.
I have never been able to get my Sim to create anything on this gemology worktable, despite the presence of crystals and metals in the worktable's reserve, and also present in the inventory of the Sim.
Noting this lack of functionality for this work table, I nevertheless opted to start on a new game part with a brand new Sim on the worlds maps containing only elements of the game itself, in order to check again if this concern was existing too. And even on this game part, it is impossible to use the functionalities of this work table, the game does not detect the crystals and metals in the table's reserve, nor in the Sim's inventory.
Thank you for your patience, and of course for this support that you offer us daily so that we can once again use in good conditions the games application, and all the content for this The Sims 4 game.
