Culling question

Hi, so I had one of the Sim from my played household die of old age and I missed the (frankly really short) amount of time to strengthen his connection so his ghost stays. He died while I was playing another household. I'm a rotational player.

I read around that the ghost is probably already 100% gone from the save. My main problem is that he's culled from the Family Tree and he's related to quite a few of my Sims, making the tree wonky. But when I opened the Profile of his child, all the family relation labels are still there. I played his child's household and he still shows up as the father in the Family Tree, but he no longer shows up when I looked at his sister's Family Tree. 

Is there anything I can do about this other than rerolling saves? I realized this a little too late and I recently backed up my save that he's probably already gone in :(
