i think that in a game that's about not only creativity and expression, but often also self-expression, it's incredibly important to have a vast array of choices. so far, the changes made to CAS have allowed for some freedom. i agree with you, the option to change pronouns and set them to what we wish them to be would be very positive to have.
and you make a good point about the Flirty trait. so i don't think an Aromantic trait would be offensive at all, quite the opposite. if players don't want it for their Sims, they can choose to ignore it.
if NPCs spawn with it, well... that's realistic. there's people of all shapes, sizes, genders, orientations, attractions or lack thereof, and everything else in-between. 🙂
personally, i plan my game to mirror real life. i include everyone, or at least everyone i possibly can with what the game offers. so i look forward to more inclusion in the future. it's an important topic in real life, so it carries over to my gameplay as well.
i think that the more options we have, the better. and our games will be so much richer for it.
