[DU] Unfinished Gameplay Mechanic (Ping Pong/Juice Pong)

A lot of players may be surprised to hear that Discover University actually came with two hidden ping pong skill sets of five levels each. Those hidden skills are:

Skill_AdultMinor_PingPong
and
Skill_AdultMinor_JuicePong

These skills increase each time a sim plays ping pong or juice pong. However, they have absolutely no effect on the game whatsoever. All animations are always the same, from level 1 to level 5. The win-lose ratio is always 50-50, i.e. a sim with a skill of 5 is just as likely to lose against a level 1 newb as they are against a maxed level 5 "master". This is vastly different from the hidden skating skill we got in Seasons, which provides more animations, additional interactions (skating routines) and moodlets.

My suspicion is that the team ran out of time when writing the code for these and later either forgot or simply discarded this mechanic. Another reason of why I believe that this is a blatantly unfinished gameplay feature is the fact that no moodlet is ever given to either winner or loser of a ping pong match. It has no effect on gameplay other than boosting some fun and wasting a bunch of time.

This doesn't make any sense since the gurus overly often talk about system resources and how they attempt to make the game run smoother. Having a hidden skill accumulation running in the background which ultimately does nothing is hardly my idea of conserving system resources.

So please, dear Maxis, finish what you started! Discover University was released one and a half years ago. It's time to go back and polish that pack!
