I don't understand how some creators are so "confused" about this. The rules were very clear, all CC/mods must be made free. The only question you have to ask yourself is this.... is early access free? No. Okay, so there's your answer.
Yes, it's free after X amount of days, but where the line is blurred is what is "early" access to some? 14 days? 20 days? 40 days? 1 year?
See the problem? That essentially means that for a period of time, the CC/mod is NOT free, therefore going against the new TOU. Sorry, not sorry.
I'm so sick of these greedy creators trying to bend the rules so they can exploit players.
Modders are using early access as beta testing. Are you saying they should release stuff without beta testing?
Sorry, but early access isn't paywall as much as you try to paint it that way. New TOS is againts selling CC and mods; doing early access isn't selling, perma paywall is. Know the difference if you want to argue about something.

Early access IS paywall. Is it accessible to the public, for free? No. It doesn't matter if it's only for X amount of days, you are still selling and making a profit off the CC for an amount of time. Sorry. That is NOT. FREE.

Since it was just confirmed that early access isn't banned, you didn't have truth and early access isn't paywall. Have a nice day

The policy before it was edited did state that early access was against TOS. The new addition made early access an exception to the non-commercial rule. That person did have the truth, based on what the policy said at the time.

The policy clearly states mods need to be non-commercial and free-to-all at distribution, meaning early access is not allowed.
