Expansion Pack Idea : Extinction/The Heroes/Be a Hero/Realm of Monsters

I am not sure where to begin, but after diving into playing sims again with the Sims 4, this idea of possible expansion pack has hit me abruptly so I just wanted to share this in the hopes of any of developers to come across this 🙂

I would want the expansion pack to be named something like Extinction/The Heroes/Be a Hero/Realm of Monsters

There could be a planet that different types of monsters dwell and there could also be hobbits, orcs, and other creatures..

Sims could develop their special abilities by practicing different elements such as (Earth/Water/Electricity/Wind/Speed/Camouflage/Charm/Heal/Nature/Werewolf/Telepathy/Sun/Moon/Metals/Poison)

and studying such elements could lead a sim to be learning specific skills such as (Quake/Tornado/Electric Shock/Storm/Teleport/Change of Appearances/Psychokinesis) and more.. (the details haven't been quite organized thoroughly so my apologies!).

Also, I wish that when the monsters from other planets end up attacking the sim world (could take place in the town in city living pack or something), all sims that are under the contract of the so called (sim protectors) could be getting calls on their special cell or something (inspired by the Captain Marvel LOL). and the call could be asking each sim of invitation saying "An unidentified creature has attacked on your town, would you be willing to participate in protecting your neighbors?, a sim who defeats the evil can be rewarded with x amount of simoleons and the badge of "Protector of ---- land". Then as the game progresses, the more giants/creatures/evil that a sim could defeat, higher the rank of the sim could be within the Sim Protectors group.

Also if you guys to make this expansion pack, so many other players will be making the different sim skins that portray different heroes costumes influenced by so many other games/movies such as league of legends, sailor moon, avengers, and so forth.

My idea basically here is that.. since EA seems like they have been creating expansion packs that include options of sims becoming vampires, mermaids, and even become magicians, why not expand the idea even further and give different actions that could further continue to exist throughout the game. This could give the players a great thrill that something abrupt and weird can occur that will endanger other people, and that they could be a hero for it. Also, it would be great if one can retire later and become a trainer (as their job).

I know that sims game has a way bigger potential of growth in its universe and I am pretty sure many of the developers are doing their very best work to brainstorm to satisfy the needs of players. My idea could be really great connection for the magic related expansion packs and the up and coming Universe pack (so that maybe a player could even establish a magic/special skills school such as seen in x-men and more).

Lastly, obviously... yes I was heavily influenced by the hero/legends movies/games in the current entertainment industry that are affecting the younger generation of people nowadays and I do think that it could be opening a huge possibilities in terms of the spectrum of play that players can experience...

Side thoughts, I would love to see horse riding by a magicians, different types of weapons and accessories that sims could purchase from the dealers such as arrows/staffs/rings/necklaces/shields and blah blah...

I truly believe that Sims game could be widened in its universe and I hope to play this game even long after time has passed by because I am a person who believes that playing game is more than feeling the enjoyment but sometimes an only way to really, truly express who we want to be...

Thanks for reading this for whoever and I hope you guys have fun playing whatever the game you are playing nowadays!

@zoeysauce, although technically they couldn't include Hobbits, as that would be protected by copyright, your examples of the types of creatures this type of pack could contain are good!  (Bad news is that I don't work for EA! 🤭😇 )  But I do think your ideas would interest a great many players! 🙌  I've always like fantasy in my Sims!

About a year ago, there was a fun poll that was done in the style of sports teams brackets for championships, and this was done with pack types, some of which we already had in the Sims 4 and others which we hadn't.  One of the entries was a superheroes pack, while another one was horse pack (I know there was a farm pack too, but I can't remember if there was a separate horse pack or if it was just assumed that horses would come in a farm pack).  I mention this because you mentioned horses being incorporated with your ideas!

But, there are some hints that we might be getting a farm pack (and hopefully horses with that!) 🤞 On the latest Guru Garage livestream on Twitch, some Sims Gurus joked around about having been "working on the farm".🤨🥳  I've heard other hints for horses or farm packs, but nothing has been confirmed.  And it wouldn't surprise me either for them to add something like your Heroes versus Monsters idea to be put into the game!  They said we have a few more years of the Sims left so there is time to add such a pack. 😉

AWW hey! Thanks for your response :D ahaha I wish I worked for EA or any other game development companies XD I love fantasies, and yes I do think the biggest part of what games give for the players is the freedom to express themselves in many different ways. Dang... If there is a ranch pack I would love to play that... I remember I downloaded the user created pack of farm (back when I played sims "1" HAHA) and this person created actual chickens, chicks goats and more I believe and you could actually interact with the chickens although the whole thing was sort of glitchy.. Just the fact that I could raise them myself and get the eggs from them and stuff was REAL NICE hahaha.... It feels so good to communicate with another user here =)

I wish you a good night! and to everyone who might have stepped onto this section :D

    XOXO

@zoeysauce, I've been playing since the Sims1 too! 🙌  I had no CC in the original The Sims but I did have one Mod... and I only got that because there was one spell in Makin' Magic that didn't work and since it was the last pack and they had moved on to the Sims 2, there weren't any more patches to the game, so the only way to fix the bug in Makin' Magic was to get a Mod.  (But since they weren't going to update the game any more anyways, there was no chance of that mod become outdated with an update to the game!

The spell was one of the children's spells and was called "Make Cakes" ! 🥳  It didn't work at all, but with Mod your child Sim didn't have to rely on adults to get fed!

I did use a lot of CC in TS2 (and even recolored some of the games objects myself) and I had a few Mods I think, but mostly a lot of CC.  In TS3 I had some mods and CC (but not much since TS3 was such a drain on computers that I didn't want to add much).  But then I had a huge problem with it and took all my Mods and CC out of the game, and never used any since then.  But, I do know that with TS3 you could purchase a cow and chicken and have a sort of mini farm.  I never purchased it because the TS3 Store was waaaaaay overpriced  😠😞, but I've seen the cow and chicken from other people on YouTube.

As for the Guru Garage Livestream on Twitch , I've watched some of it later.  One of the farm remarks happens at almost the 30 min. mark, I believe.  The Sims Guru with two shirts on takes off his outer buttoned down shirt and he has a printed T-shirt on underneath it and says he's been "working on the farm today". 🤨 The other Gurus nod but the one that says that tries not to smile but still gives a little smile! 😃 I didn't catch any other references yet , but I've only watched 1 hour of a 2 hour and 15 min livestream.  Here is the link if you want to check it out! https://www.twitch.tv/videos/496325640?t=00h12m13s

Hey there! my apologies for the late response!! Yess I remember the good ol days of playing older sims games haha I just thought about how awesome it will be to make sims become sort of like a .. meet and greet cyber world + community where they can use chat system haha although if they did, they should have a secure system to filter out those creeps or bad influencers that will cause the mess.. I guess there already is a function where users can connect online with their friends who allow the contact for right?... Ah well... Every time I come to this page, It always makes me brain-storm the ideas of bunch different things lol..... welp!! Have a great night :D always appreciate your responses!! XD

@zoeysauce, there already was an online version of the Sims called "The Sims Online", and it started 2002 and ended in 2008.  It wasn't that successful though.☹️  I know someone who played it and they said it sounded a lot more fun than it actually was. 😞 So, I don't know how likely it would be for them to try this again.🤔  I do think being online with just your actual friends would be far more fun than with a bunch of strangers, though.  But then again, what if you don't have any friends that play the Sims?  You would have to find strangers to play anyway. 🤒

People have also said that TS4 was supposed to be an online game, but the online portion got scrapped at the last minute... but then again others say that it was supposed to be a mobile game.  I don't know which, if any, of these is true.  I lean toward thinking that if any of this is true then it is more probable that it was going to be online 🤔, but of course I could be completely wrong!😳😃

Online works for many types of games, but I don't think the Sims is one of those.  A lot of time in the Sims is spent fulfilling needs, going to work or school (usually off screen), or increasing your Sims's skills, none of which would make for good online gameplay.  The only aspect of the Sims that is good for online gameplay is the social aspect! 😉  But the Sims is a balance of multiple things, only one of which is social. 🤨
