Focused and confident moodlets last longer

I have a sim who gets 6 hours effect from ponder chess moves, playing chess, research gardening., browsing simpedia and viewing mathematical diagram. 
I've turned the game upside down trying to duplicate this for other sims with no luck. they all get it for 4 hours.

so... couple of questions:

1. how can i get a sim to have this bonus?

2. what other activities in the game can generate a long term focused moodlet? very useful for get to work.

    @Aceeee82 So that was the difference after all, a childhood Trait. If you don't want to always have to rely on that, so if you are creating an adult Sim I recommend that Practice Makes Perfect Trait. My Sim who has it is focused virtually all the time now. In fact some players are unhappy their Sims are excessively focused because of it. It's so ironic we have one thread trying to get Sims focused and another trying to get rid of too much focus!
