For rent help

I am trying to use the for rent DLC i bought a house it was worth about 40k when i was done tried to rent it, max rent was only 2 dollars, i sold it bought a new house and remodeled it i rented that one for 1200, then i buy another and remodel it to 50k and its back to only being worth 2 dollars a day in rent, what's going on ?

    First make sure the rental unit rating is high. 

    to fix rent move someone in, any rent price, then evict them. The rent resets to its proper value after this. For 4-5 star properties max rent should be about the number of tiles * 5.2
