[FR] Fix for Low Max Rent & Maximize Rental Cost
Seeing a lot of confusion about this & I've finally figured it out myself, so creating this post for others.
Fix low Max Rent issue:
When you build a residential rental lot or update it, there's a weird glitch where the max rent price doesn't change. Move someone in and then evict them right away. Make sure your rating is already pretty high so the negative effect from unjust eviction doesn't hurt you too badly.
After eviction, the lease will update to the correct max rent price.
Maximize Rental Cost:
I've tested this on 10 different residential rental units. Contrary to what I've heard from others, the value of the furnishings, number of beds and baths has no DIRECT effect on the max rent value.
The only direct variables are:
- Unit rating
- Number of Tiles
With a 4-5 star rating, the max rent is about Number of tiles * 5.2
The furnishings/beds/toilets can contribute to the Amenities and Environment helping your unit rating. However as long as you have 5 stars, increasing the cost of the furnishings will make no difference at all.
