Frustration with my sims with infants

Question

I love the infants, I think they are really cute but it is so frustrating playing with them because of the amount of time my sims spend standing when caring for them. My sim will stand around for a sim hour with "change diaper" selected and then sometimes it just gets cancelled out. "Put to bed" they stand around for another sim hour... any suggestions for less standing around&nbsp; when they need to care for the baby? I hate it taking half my time to just get the diaper changed.&nbsp;

Initiate as many interactions as you can from the infant, not the caregiver. If you need to start an action as the caregiver, pause the game and reset the infant first, then queue the action, then unpause.

This bug has been in the game for quite&nbsp; a while now. Sometimes I have to reset the infant and the adult before they will do anything. Another annoying thing is the adults always wanting to check the infant, picking them up just as another sim is about to do something with them. They could do with extending the timer for that or just stop it altogether.
