Game crash causes time reversal?

Okay so the title just makes me sound like an idiot, but please hear me out.

I asked a question just about a hour ago when during my 100 baby challenge I had a son who hadn't had my sim listed as their kid. Well, my sim, who wasn't pregnant before I just aged up that sim to an infant, was now in their second trimester without even woohooing. I wonder if this is due to a glitch that occurred after entering was when my twins aged up into children. Because after I entered CAS time was set back by two days in game. My A student child was now back to a C student without going to school, the twins were toddlers again, and my newest infant (I have two infants) wasn't listed as my sims child. All of a sudden, without any warning, I got a notification that my sim, who was just re-potty training the twins, was having the baby, who was just at two months term. Lo and behold, the baby had the same original dad as my newest infant (I kept record of each father). I just want to know if this glitch is anyway fixable. I will be restarting the challenge anyways, but better to get some information on it that not.

I play on a Mac only, and I only have the free holiday pack with no CC.
