Game crashes when i play with teenagers

Hi

When I play with teenagers it happens that when they get a responsibility level or some trait from the family game pack, the ESC stops working, I can't go into the menu or tap on my sims mood or aspirarions etc. It only seems to happen when i play with teenagers wich is annoying. Young adults and other ages work but not teenagers. It's been like this since the update before the new pack came out.
