Game crashing when diagonal roof is placed need help I haven’t played in a year

Hi thank you and yes I have tried on different saves and it’s still crashes I wanna play it so bad I have so much time and money in it to just let it sit
@shadeieeee Ok, then there are a couple of things you can try to see if you can fix whatever is going on. Since you didn't answer my question on using mods and CC, I am going to assume you are not. But, if you are, update what you can. And if you are using any mods that affect build mode such as TOOL or BBB, make sure you have the latest as those have broken with many of the updates in the last year.
First, try a game repair.
If that doesn't work, the try a user folder reset. To do that, just rename your "The Sims 4" folder to something else or move it elsewhere out of the Electronic Arts folder. Then start the game. That will create a new "The Sims 4" folder. Once you've gone through the mandatory creating and placing a sim, save and exit. Then copy at least one save from your original saves folder to the new one or just copy the entire saves folder from the old to the new. Start the game and test if the problem is still there.
