Game hanging or crashing when playing a specific build
The Sims 4 loads the menu screen and when I press resume game, start new game, or load any save file (even recovered) after less than 5 seconds of loading the game turns off with no warning. There are no error messages after. This happened on my PC, and I bought a MacBook Air literally for the game and the issue still persist on the newly installed sims 4. I have the latest game update and MacOS. I do not have any CC or Mods.
I have:
- Repaired the game (so many times)
- Cleared cache and repaired the EA App
- Removed the sims 4 folder to desktop so the game can create a new one in the EA folder
- Removed the Options.ini folder from the sims 4 folder to Desktop.
- Removed the Mods folder from the sims 4 folder to Desktop (despite not using them it was a fix suggested to me by the EA team so of course I tried it!)
- Entered Safe mode on Mac
- Re-installed MacOS
- Re-installed the Sims 4
- Re-installed the EA app
I have not been able to access the Sims for 2 weeks now, even after the new bug update! It is so frustrating help ☹️
Edit - edited title to better reflect issue (Bluebellflora)

If it's happening on a Windows machine and macOS then the problem is the saves.
Rename the Sims 4 folder then launch the game so a new Sims 4 folder is created, it will be like new with none of your user data loaded into the game. Can you now start a new save?
