Game is infinitely stuck on loading screen now

I can access the main menu but if I press play it just stays on the loading screen.  basically I downloaded around 300 of ccs. i don't think its that though because if I take my mods folder out of ...

Does the game load to the map if you click load instead of resume and pick the save to play? Does it occur on a new save too?
