Game unplayable after June 30 update

Before the update I moved my mods folder to the desktop. Updated the game and started it up without mods. Save files would  not load or load with strange errors. and then I couldn't save.(error 21 or 22) Gallery would load but all items had red x over them.

Tried repair game, still no luck. Completely uninstalled and reinstalled Sims4. Started a new game with no mods, created a sim and moved them in. Saved the game and exited. loaded the game again, it loaded all packs, even though it had already done so. Gallery still not working and still cannot save game.(ERROR 21 OR 22)

Cleared the cache, still no luck. Game is completely unplayable

    i have the same issue- i cannot open sims and get to the menu page as it closes/crashes. i've deleted my electronic arts folder and recreated it, moved all my saves/trays/ and mods one by one to see if its a mod issue but no use.

    getting a little tired with sims 4 and their bug fixes updates just causing more issues

    Thank you so much! It was windows defender!. Why woukd it suddenly block it, when it never has in the past? I never thought to check it. Thank you so much for help. I really appreciate it 💚

    Thank you so much! Windows Defender was the problem! Never would have thought to check it as it never blocked sims4 before. I appreciate the help!

    this link is old and for origin . is there anything new? for ea client bec i dont have this kind of menu . i checked everthing, i cleaned out everthing i conected EA client ea launcher to allowed  apps, i also started without ANY defender ore programs from security on ( there all off) and problem still is there .

    possible that they switch more user over to memory boost and hence a new exe is now used that the antivirus didn't know

    Yuki85000​ Origin/Ea app has nothing to do with this issue. This post is as current as when it was made. The path on the picture is the one I had the game installed at the time.

    You need to navigate to the exe file where it's installed for you. Add all the exes in your game\bin folder.

    You can also click on Blockierungsverlauf to see if anything was blocked. Enter Überwachter Ordnerzugriff to search for it in the windows bar (assuming you have your windows in German since you posted a German screenshot)

    If this doesn't help, it's best if you make your own thread.
