Object stuck in fridge

My sim lived in an apartment and had fruit pie in her fridge. She moved into a new house and that fruit pie was not only in her fridge but also her household inventory. I cant put the pie from the household inventory onto the floor in build buy mode because it says system error. I cant drag it out of my fridge inventory. When i hover my cursor over the fruit pie it doesn't do anything. Its not showing the name, when its gonna spoil or how many servings there are left. My sims can interact with it though. They can grab servings and make it into a pack lunch. They literally have infinite fruit pie. I tested it with and without  mods but no matter what i do, the fruit pie just keeps appearing in my fridge and household inventory.
