Game unplayable?

Question

The game is entirely broken as of yesterday (August 27th). It takes ages to switch between sims and even when it does, I can't do anything. I can't interact with anything. My sims won't do any actions. They just stand there. The saving and exiting of the game is also bugged/not working.

I checked my mods but they all seem up to date.

I cleared the cache, repaired the game, and removed my mods. It's still not playable

@PandaPrincess06   Please move your mods folder to the desktop, delete Documents &gt; Electronic Arts &gt; The Sims 4 &gt; localthumbcache and then try again on a backup of your save to see of you can duplicate the issue on a game with no mods.

@PandaPrincess06 this same thing is happening to me , my sims will not do anything they are just frozen in place. i have tried everything and it is not working.

I managed to recover an older save file of the save I was playing on and it fixed the issue, at least temporarily. Sometimes I have to restart the game but so far the issue has lessened
