Game will save but doesn't update the actual save file.

I have a large multi-map (YEARS old save, the only save I actually play. With many many families on it. When love struck came out I was excited to play it logged in and went from household to household with cas.fulleditmode to tweak the new relationship/personality options on all of my houses when I was almost done, I saved between each house, in case I had to log out (save and to to map etc) I never noticed any issue. Later logged out and back in and I was set back about 4 households worth the progress. I noticed on my save file it had the picture of the last family I played, but the name for the house it logged me back into/was stuck on. I tried saving with a few different families and the same thing. It would update the photo but not the "family name" and any time I closed the game and came back I was right back to the named family it was stuck on with all my progress lost. I repaired my game, backed up saves and uninstalled/reinstalled, emptied cache files, deleted the game version txt file and let it re-make it self on next log in, checked one drive syncing to make sure it wasn't a lost folder or something wonky with that. Eventually I gave up...found an OLLLD back up save (sadly the only 1 I had because I forgot to back up with the new update/lovestruck due to a lot going on in my life and just being excited and in a rush to jump on) ..the back up was a year old and missing a lot of progress/families etc but...I used cas.fulledit to readd people in and cheat money in as best as I could to get it right again and spent WEEKS fixing my back up save and getting it caught up to where my save was, then using the same fulledit cheat went in to try and re-fix everyone's new personality stuff. It was fine for most of my houses, I had 3 left and no issues saving...then it repeated the same bug on the back up save with 3 houses left to fix before I could finally PLAY...I do not play with any gameplay changing mods. I do have some CC (paintings, hair styles etc) But I have tried with and without that and the same bug still. In the screenshots I uploaded you can see, the family name saved is Holloway, in the 1st screenshot is a woman (last name Fulton, not Holloway) in the 2nd screenshot, saved a few moments later, is very obviously a different family (Spears) but it still shows the Holloway name. When I save and exit, then log back in it puts me in the Holloway Household with any progress past them (or with them) lost. On the original save it got stuck on the * family, now the Holloways on the back up save I've "worked on fixing" for weeks. So the same bug has gotten me stuck twice but stuck in 2 different places. This is a 10 year old save with multiple generational families I am very attached to. I'm hesitant to start over a 3rd time and have weeks of work go to waste again when the same bug makes it unplayable for a third time. Does ANYONE know why this is happening or how to fix/prevent it? I've  tried everything I can think of and I am beyond depressed about potentially losing a save (and just my overall activity I do to relax seeing as I don't want to start a new map, and even if I did, why bother when whatever is happening may make any new save unplayable too? No point playing when no changes/progress can be saved anymore. ☹️ Any help is greatly appreciated.
