Glasses at work
I know this has been mentioned several times by other people but as EA STILL hasn't done anything about it, I thought I might as well make a post about it.
When I send my sim to an active career, his glasses completely disappear and there's no way to put them back on. This is ridiculous, especially considering how much time EA has had to do something about it (5 whole years). Honestly, it makes me really dislike the careers because it's completely unrealistic and immersion breaking. My sim is based on me, therefore whenever he goes to work and his glasses disappear, he must be almost completely blind. Realistically, he should end up burning every building he ever works at to the ground or seriously injuring himself and others within a week. I'm not saying this to be cruel, I'm saying it because I truly enjoy The Sims and want it to succeed. I'd understand if this was an oversight that they quickly rectified but they didn't. Come on EA, you have so much potential to be better than this. You need to stop ignoring your playerbase and actually listen to us otherwise, in the future, you may not have a playerbase to ignore. Also, please please please put the burglar back into the game. He's the most iconic Sims character you have and makes the games so much more engaging with the challenge he provides. I have no idea what possessed you to remove him.
