Grim Reaper Event - Still Not Working

Hey everyone,
For the past few weeks, I've struggled to get the event to work. I've watched many videos and even looked at the tips and tricks here on the forums. STILL—I cannot get past Week 3. I expedited my mail eight times, and it still wouldn't clear the task. Mind you, this is after I deleted the game package, repaired my game, reinstalled my mods, played without mods, talked to the mailman, invited them in, and even reset the sim.
I've done nearly everything I can and still have issues. I was thrilled to play in this event, but now I'm losing hope. I have over 5k hours on the Sims 4 and watch hours upon hours of Sims YouTubers. My love for the Sims still lives, but it is not my hope.

Please help.
