Happy 18 years of The Sims!

@unseenlarks, I also have a chronic illness, so I understand! 😞 While I have a large extended family that I love to be around when I can, I still make some time for my little Simmies as well! 😇 And even though I don't really play to the Sims to feel less lonely so much, I can totally see how it would help! 🙂  I think for me one of the big reasons I love to play The Sims is that when you have a chronic illness you don't have much control over your life as you would like, and the Sims gives me a way to have some control over something (even if they are just pixel people!) 😃 😳  Therefore, I'm far less likely to be depressed  (unless I am too sick to play, which has happened! 😢 )  And even when my Sims don't obey my commands or I loose track of one an he or she does something I didn't line up for them, it will often make me laugh!  Those crazy Sims! 😃 :eahigh_file:

@PugLove888--first of all i'm sorry you have to live with a chronic illness. :'( and i agree that playing Sims (and other games!) help to be in control over something. it's a great distraction, too, unless (like you said) one's not feeling well enough to be able to play.

...i sometimes sit and watch the insane things they do without my oh-so-wise intervention. XD

@unseenlarks, thank you!  ❤️  I agree; The Sims is such a great game because you can use it in so many ways!  If you TV is broken or your cable is out, then just play the Sims, turn on free will, and sit back and watch the "show"! :eahigh_file: 😉

@unseenlarks, Yes, I am especially addicted to CAS!  I love making Sims and Sim families! ❤️  I've done challenges, (mostly with Sims 2 & Sims 3), built homes and venues (mostly Sims 1 & Sims 2), but my favorite way to play the Sims is storytelling, CAS, and experimentation.  🥳

What I love to do  every time a new pack comes out is to make a new family using as much of the new pack for CAS as I can, and then either make a house with any pre-made room styles that come with the new pack, or I download something amazing from the Gallery that has mostly new Build/Buy Mode items.  This works really well for SPs which don't usually come with a new pre-made house from Maxis/EA.  With GPs and EPs I usually try the new houses that come with the pack first, before I make something or download something from the Gallery.  And I always test out any households that EA makes that automatically come with each pack. 🙂

Needless to say, with Jungle Adventure GP I will make a family using mostly the stuff from this pack, and then I will test out the new venues and vacation destinations.  After that I will play any households that come with the pack, and after that I will play with any households or buildings that I find on the Gallery using the new pack!  I already have an idea for a story I want to do, so I'm really excited about this pack! 🥳

@unseenlarks, I do the same thing! 😮 😃:eahigh_file: I always now make multiple daytime and nighttime outfits (and if a Sim is really into exercise or parties, I make multiple outfits for those categories as well! )  I just wish the young children wouldn't always wear the first outfit for school. 😞 Teens will switch which outfits they wear to school, but young kids never do! 😢  They will wear something different on the weekends though. I have no idea why it is the way it is! 🤔

I want to make my characters first before I say anything!  I'm like that when I create -- that way I can change my mind with no repercussions! 😳😃  But I'll tell you when I'm finished! 🙂

@PugLove888, it works especially well because one of the Sims in my household is really into fashion (and pink!) so i get to try lots of outfits.

oh! i don't play with children, so i didn't know that they didn't switch outfits. aww...

you're making a new family? that's cool! i always use the same Sims for everything. =D

@unseenlarks, yes, I love variety so having multiple outfits sure keeps it interesting!  What is your pink-loving fashionista Sim's name? 🤔

It's funny how we play differently, especially since we seem to have a lot in common.  I have tons of households in my game!  While I sometimes play  Sims that I've downloaded from the Gallery, I always play all the EA/Maxis pre-made families.  But the vast majority of my Sims are made by myself!  I love making new Sims!  ❤️  Also, mostly I make families!  Or if I make a single Sim or a Sim couple, I usually eventually have them have children.  😇

No, children always wear their #1 outfit in the Daytime category to school. 😢 Teens will use any outfit in the Daytime category for school.🙂  The only time children will change Daytime outfits is after they take a shower or maybe on the weekends if they go somewhere.😞  And you can't make a child shower or change into new clothes before school because they will just change them back to the Daytime #1 outfit as they walk out the door.  😬

I now have 2 ideas for different households for the Jungle Adventure pack! 😃  Those livestreams have inspired me! 🥳 But knowing me, I will probably make an expieramental Sim family (complete with a toddler or two) with this pack first.  Then I will work on my 2 ideas! 😉  Since you can't get this pack until/if you get a new computer, I will post pictures for you!  I hope others will do the same! 🥳
