Happy birthday to the Sims! Where would we be without it? 🎁
I started playing it when it eventually arrived on console because my home PC back then was quite old and just about handled Solitaire. I was fully dedicated to console platform games involving hedgehogs and dragons. But I remember trying out my first motor racing game around that time and putting a steering wheel on a PlayStation...this did not go well. I know it was then because I remember the boyfriend I had at the time being very sarcastic about my on screen driving. It was not good. It may be the reason I ended up not learning to drive! It was carnage (not only on screen but me throwing the steering wheel around the room in fury 😡). I think it was possibly my first game rage looking back.
But I remember seeing the ad for the Sims on TV (I thought it was about The Simpsons which I love so it got my attention) and I still remember the theme music. Sometimes I play the retro channel on the radio to hear the old Sims themes! Once I eventually got the Sims, tiny pixelated drivers were safe from me once more. 🫣
@sugisakiya I just added Vampires to complete the game. But what I would like to see for the Sims this year is a Fairy pack, Cars, another cultural pack for Africa or Australia maybe, more fruit trees (weird I know but where are the oranges?) and some accessories kits with more shoes, bags and jewellery.
