How to turn off time-limited events
I want to do the Reaper's Rewards quest in one save but I don't want it popping up in every household in every save. How do I turn it off?

@mightyspritesims and @Spyderbaby I don't think you can turn it off on a per-save basis, but try taking the EA App offline before launching the game. Alternately, I saw a comment that disabling Online Social Features (Options > Game Options > Other) blocks the quest, so you could toggle this setting when you don't want to deal with it.
if you complete it in one save will then have to complete it in another save? or will the complete status work for all saves?
The event is tied to your account so if you complete it in one save it is completed in all. If you have more than one device it will also be completed there if you use the same EA account.
I was wondering how can I completely ignore this event. It is interfering with my gameplay. I should not be FORCED into these events, especially when it is broken. My mailman is stuck waving his hand about the mailbox.
I do not want to see the event in the corner, I truly would like NOT to participate. So in your effort to get me to log on, I will be logged off until the event is over. I just do not understand why there is no I do not want to participate BUTTON
REALLY?!?!?!?! This is running for 8 weeks. I am so frustrated about being forced into this event and being forced to endure the bugs

Not everyone wants to celebrate the grim reaper or cares about these rewards. I cannot believe this is going on for 8 weeks. EIGHT WEEKS I am basically not going to play because I am forced in an event. The worse part is...IT DOES NOT EVEN WORK!!! The mailman standing there waving at the mailbox. There should always be an opt out button.
@talk_simlish_2me- you have to re-do it since its a different save, is what I read somewhere..
EA-Sims Team, give us an option to OPT OUT of this (from most players) unwanted, forced on us Grim Reaper Event thing! - Meanwhile an urgend mods request to remove/hide this kindergarden stuff from our games, thanks!
