How to turn off time-limited events

I have noticed all threads with people asking to turn off, disable or even hide the event pop-up or live icon switch have gone unanswered. This isn't surprising as EAs model is to force as much on their customers as they can.

I assume this will never be an option and am hoping someone from the modding community will find away to at least hide it. Until then, I'll stay away.

@diamok Ugh! I am so tired of having to pile on Mods to correct or override things that EA should be doing themselves. We pay good money for these games. They should really pay attention to their loyal customers while they still have them.
