I want to do the Reaper's Rewards quest in one save but I don't want it popping up in every household in every save. How do I turn it off? Edit By Crinrict: Adjusted Title to make more general for all events.

I stopped playing so that I could opt out of the Reaper thing and was just considering maybe going back - and now I see there is ANOTHER unavoidable event.Please, for the love of crackers, make these optional. Please understand the way your players actually play and not the way you're trying to force them to engage. Most of the player base is just trying to play their own little stories out and not conform to some external To Do List. I'm fine having the OPTION of the challenges or scenarios or what have you, but sometimes I just want to do the story I'm creating.I still want to use the Gallery, so don't point me at the "fix" above. We should not have to choose between entirely cutting ourselves off from the Sims 4 community and being forced into an invasive experience in a game that succeeded once upon a time because it let people imagine and play however they wished.FIX THIS, EA, or I'm done with Sims 4, sad as it makes me.I've been playing a lot of Sims 3 since the Reaper thing started and gosh, it's been a relief.

anyone know how to turn off this stupid reaper rewards thing? why is it mandatory? why would they make it so that you have to do it?if I do it in one save will that turn it off in all the other saves?this is honestly the worst thing that's ever come about out of this game and if its not fixed it will make me sell my EA account to recoup my losses and never play this game again

so this is not a solution, and the fact that you think it is proves how brainwashed by ea you are and I feel bad for you. we shouldn't have to risk corrupting the game by removing files and crap, AND lose access to the gallery just because ea wants to tell the player how they should play the game. I paid my money for this game, I have the right to play it as I want, not have to follow some bs rules just because the developers are getting bored sitting on their butts all day not fixing real problems.

Hello,Could you please tell me how to get rid of the irritating Cozy Celebrations bar that keeps surfacing in my gameplay in Sims 4? You did this with Reaper stuff like a month ago. Is there any way for a user to prevent these things from appearing? Can I opt out? @ScarlettJohanssl and @diamok If you disable Online Social Features, in Options > Game Options > Other, the event shouldn't show up at all. This would also disable the Gallery, but you can reenable the option when you want to use the Gallery.

this dont works. I see no gallery, bust still the event.
I am sure, EA thinks, they do all a favour. But some people want to play there own game without any orders from outside they dont like to take part in.

Whats also new: When I travel within a group, grouping is canceled when I arrive at the target.
This is a complete new feature I have not read in the release/patch notes. And this is so since they put in this useless event.

The event is tied to your account so if you complete it in one save it is completed in all. If you have more than one device it will also be completed there if you use the same EA account.

Same problem, this system is annoying, the window is constantly appearing, which by the way takes up a lot of space

Read about that trick in other threads and on Reddit. Like scarlett said, it doesn't work. Neither does taking the EA app offline, nor I'm sure no other trick will work as EA wants what they want, as always.

I was wondering how can I completely ignore this event. It is interfering with my gameplay. I should not be FORCED into these events, especially when it is broken. My mailman is stuck waving his hand about the mailbox.
I do not want to see the event in the corner, I truly would like NOT to participate. So in your effort to get me to log on, I will be logged off until the event is over. I just do not understand why there is no I do not want to participate BUTTON

Is there a way to get out of this event completely? It is buggy and I really do not want to participate. It is interfering with my gameplay.
