@Yuke2001I really wouldn’t mind if the phones were functional but as we know EA, they are not! I already have enough much better looking deco phones and don’t need any more!

Ugh. Are they deliberately trying to run us off their game? I’m already on break until the overlapping festivals and underwear/shower bugs get fixed. But I guess I can add this to the list of treasons why not to play for awhile.

So unfortunately, they're doing another Reward Event on February 4 and is going until mid March, which means more "In your Face" icons and prompts, unless for some reason they decide to give us an opt-out button, but I seriously doubt they will. 😕

@ShellSh0ck The only reason I'm still even playing The Sims 4 is because I'm still trying to get a number of past projects redone, so I'm obviously still playing it for a very specific purpose. It's taking a while, so I'm just trying to get 'em done as efficiently as I can. If I wanted real enjoyment, I would not be playing The Sims 4 otherwise, especially now with how bloated it's become. The Reward Events have genuinely ruined the core point of what The Sims 4 is supposed to be. But yeah, you're way better of sticking with the older Sims games if you actually want enjoyment.
- nickinbigd9 months agoSeasoned Ace@CrypticKam I’m not sure why this is addressed to me. I’m one of the users complaining, not defending EA. I wrote days ago I was taking a break from this game. EA has made me so frustrated

Wow, four months and 17 pages of pleading. I haven't played Sims 4 since my post a while back and only looked back in this forum b/c I saw someone had given me xp for my post.
As I said I was going to in my previous post, I did uninstall Sims 4 and all its packs (freed up SO much disk space for new games, WOW!) and I did go back to playing Sims 3 instead on those days when I get the urge to create my own little family and story.
I've seen other people posting that they were going to uninstall the Sims 4 because of these mandatory events as well. For every player that posts, there are many who feel the same and don't bother telling you, just quietly give up and uninstall.
You might want to consider taking this seriously.
Sincerely,
A former Sims 4 player before loading your save, change the date on your pc so it's past the day when the event ends. when you load your save you can set it back. if you do, the ui won't appear, there'll just be a small button to bring it up for some reason. and motherfuck ea for making everyone miserable.

Dear EA Developers
Wouldn‘t it be possible for there to be a seperate setting for the Events. In such a way that not everyone has this directly in the game, as many people don‘t want it. Special only for those who want to take part in these Events.
An Indie Development Studio does it that way too. - CrypticKam9 months agoRising Adventurer@nickinbigd The rewards are garbage. PC players can download CC that puts these rewards to shame and cost nothing. Makes EA developers look like a joke! Let us opt out already!
