It’s kinda odd right? 😅 i sent my Teen to prom (after having graduated two weeks earlier) because her boyfriend invited her. She still had her friendships and things with the other teens, it was almost like she didn’t leave high school. I think the football/cheerleader events should be ignored too if they graduate early 🤷🏽♀️

@TDaise22 - The Football and Cheer Events are open to all Sims as spectator events. If they're still on the squads after graduation, you can have them quit by phone. I also do that with Scouting, though not tied to graduation. Once they get their last Badge and the Reward Trait, I have them quit Scouts. Prom is a beast of a different stripe, though. I sometimes have teen couples live together on their own, or have their GFs move in with them and their parents so I can make sure the NPC Sim also gets their education and such. When prom rolls around after they've both graduated, they get upset at each other for no invite. Utter nonsense.
