Huggy greetings and disappearing placemats.
Hello!
I've noticed some strange things happening in my sims 4 game since the big Cats and Dogs patch. I've noticed that my sims have gotten awfully...huggy lately (when greeting each other). For example, sims John and Peggy are sitting at the table eating their supper. I tell John to chat with Peggy. Both John and Peggy get up off of their chairs, pick up their plates, walk towards each other, put plate in pocket, give a hug, take plate out of pocket, and then sit back down again with their meal, sometimes in the same seat, sometimes not. It's getting old now; all I want is for my sim families to have a civilized mealtime conversation. Usually, sims that are starting a new conversation with each other just wave, especially if they are sitting down eating.
Beyond sitting at a table, I've noticed that my sims are pretty much only greeting each other though hugs. They chase each other around the house to give the other household sims hugs too because they want to tell them something. It's a little peculiar, I think. they don't ave to each other as much anymore.
Another oddity since the new patch: magically disappearing placemats. Here's what I mean:
1. John sets the table.
2. John grabs some supper and he puts his plate/bowl on the placemat.
3. BAM! Placemat's gone!
The placemat stays if I manually drag a plate/bowl to the placemat. Before the patch, the placemats used to vanish AFTER a sim got up with their plate. Seems to have gotten scrambled up.
I play TS4 on a MacBook Pro running macOS High Sierra, version 10.13.1. I have Parenthood and Toddler stuff as packs in my game. I know these are minor problems in comparison to some of the game-breaking stuff going on since the patch, but I thought I'd post here and see if anyone's got a solution.
