I know this wasn't directed toward me but I experience this issue as well. Even with an ambitious trait, it seems to do this for me too. I'll even try to pick careers based on their likes and they seem to absolutely hate it with a burning passion. Especially when they are Elders but the moment they retire they get all cranky about not having a job.
Does anyone know if this problem is caused by the High School Years pack? if I uninstall it will that solve this problem? How do you uninstall it?
This is a sad day, I can honestly say I WILL NOT be buying any additional content early in its release, forget ever getting me to purchase another pre release EA! I really regret buying this one.
It seems like an accurate simulation of the real world, imo. People tend to hate their jobs.

lolol touché. My Sims are always unhappy with their job too. I just learned to ignore those feelings, like IRL 😃 - xochiquetzl_xkvn3 years agoSeasoned Ace
It's the base game patch that came out with HSY, not the HSY pack itself. It's, er... well. Suffice to say that I have posted in the bug forum about this fear being too easy to get.
- @chillmyster03 I don't have the high school pack and it happens to me. Considering giving up myself
- @xochiquetzl_xkvn Thank you for the tip!

At this point, I think it's the Sims team who hate their jobs since they don't test anything before they release it and just create more problems for themselves.
- KellySuspended3 years agoRising Novice@mzda_grl It affects their job performance and promotion rate. Every now and then I get this. But every time!?
- KellySuspended3 years agoRising Novice@Eryyk5551 This is a super-serious problem. It makes every day with a Sim a chore to play. I expect I will be giving up playing Sims.
