I can't enter Live Mode after coming back from CAS.

I'm trying to play The Sims 4. For weeks now, I haven't always been able to go into Live Mode. I've tried every single troubleshooting steps (repairing the game, clearing EA cache, restarting my pc, backing everything up, uninstalling the game, reinstalling it, and deleting possibly hundreds of thousands of unnecessary and unused files), and nothing's changed. It started on my laptop, but that has numerous other issues (including internet-related issues), so I switched to my desktop. Still nothing. I have a great laptop with lots of RAM as well as a TB of OneDrive storage space, only about 20% used. So, I tried every single troubleshooting step on my desktop. Still nothing. I finally identified that it's a problem with CAS (though I have no idea what's causing it). Whenever I go into CAS, I can't go back into Live Mode, no matter how I enter either one. It just gets stuck on the loading screen indefinitely. I can't even X out, so I have to use Task Manager to force it to close. I can still enter build mode and all of that, and I can edit sims in CAS just fine. If I go to Manage Worlds and edit the household through Manage Households and come back, I can save. But from CAS on, whether I do anything in CAS or not, I can never enter Live Mode in that save again. I've tried EVERYTHING, but I keep coming up blank. I can, of course, enter CAS when making a save, and it brings me to the map and lets me choose a lot, and I can go into Live Mode and save just fine. Then, I can go into Manage Worlds and back into Live mode and save. Absolutely no issues here. But once I enter CAS and save, that save file is done. It's over. It's especially a problem because I'm starting my family legacy save file with a married couple (young adults, female (Lestari) and male (Palo), their twin infant daughters (Selene and Sienna), their adult dogs (male Cole and female Juniper) with female puppies (Kelly and Minnie), the mom's mom (Nirmala), and her mom (Bunga). Lestari, Nirmala, and Bunga are Southern and Southeastern (almost entirely Southeastern) Asian, mostly Indonesian. Palo's African and Mexican. The dogs are Siberian husky/timberwolf mixes. Anyway, this comes out to 10 sims, 2 more than the household limit. But I can only create 1 household per save in CAS. So, I can't have all of them. I've already submitted multiple reports, but I didn't get anything back (possibly because I was beyond my storage limit until today, when I cleared around 700-775 GB). Now, I only have about 200 GBs taken up, and I have a GREAT desktop, but still, nothing's working after CAS. I have no idea what the exact problem is nor what's causing it.
