Impossible to pay the rent

I have a rental with a PNJ who owns it. The family renting an appartment has recieved a warning that theyhave not paid their rent and that the owner will take their belongings. The problem is that I did not receive a request to pay and I cannot pay either on the phone or the mailbox. Qhat can I do?
