In-ground garden patch consumes seeds without actually planting anything

So i used the fairy enchantment on a patch of overgrown pumpkins, then i harvest them, although they turned out tiny even though they were enchanted, and well cared for. 

Anyway now my patch is bugged and i can no longer plant anything on it, it just consumes seeds.
