Infinite Loading/Save Screen even while Vanilla testing since 12/3 patch

Cant play one of my favorite saves and a few of my favorite households will not load, even if i hover over some of them in manage households or manage worlds it just spins. Tried them vanilla and they still get an infinite loading screen, if not a loading screen, I cant save. I cant close my game unless its with task manager and I can never get a last exception (until today!) I guess cuz the game didn't recognize theres an issue. I have a case number but EA is stumped too. I hope I don't have to get rid of this save because its my favorite and have been building/expanding on it for a year now and made it into a Youtube series. This has happened continuously since 12/3 update. Haven't saved properly since 11/30. Please help.

Troubleshooting I've done:

- removed all mods and cc and updating them each day in meantime so they're ready to play

- repaired game several times without mods/cc

- moved sims 4 folder to desktop, tested new save, everything is fine

- moved all previous saves to new save folder, infinite loading/saving again

- moved out one of the problem families, bulldozed lot, moved them back in to new maxis house (previous house was modded & from the gallery); someone suggested to remove rooms in build mode to see if that fixes issue but when i removed the attic and tried to load the house in live mode it gets stuck again... wasnt able to save any of that

- ran batch fixes on all my cc in s4s, deleted all that couldnt be fixed

- sim after dark discord said recent last exception is from removing mods?

- recovered save

- turned on DX9 in game options

so sad and frustrated because now i feel my early xmas gift (life & death pack) is going to waste bc i cant use it on the save i was very excited to use it for.

idk if its important to note but i play my game through a 2tb external hard drive

copy and pasted my lastexception but then it was marked as spam so i had to delete and make a new topic

  • @Btrflie You said you got a LE now. Could you upload that or c/p the content ?

    Have you figured out yet if it's the family or the lot that's causing issues ?

    You didn't state if it worked when you moved them to another house.
